Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts. Whipped the frame off (buggering my back in the process, should have got some help ) and set to drilling the holes to mount to the pans.

Wire brushed and sanded the whole frame then gave it a good clean ready for paint. Roped in the mechanics mate.

Who then got stuck into the painting once we got the frame away from the rain and back in the garage.

Two coats of satin black combicolour on the bottom, turned it over and two on the top.

And while that was in progress set to and tackled the rear suspension which had previously been lowered and was a bit lower on the passenger side. Recon it will drop slightly once the frame and stuff are back on.

Engine stuff cleaned and ready for some more satin black.

And cleaned and degreased the engine then popped the frame back on the chassis once it had had a few days to harden.

Tinware back on and cannon exhaust fitted. Yellow ignition stuff will go but it was new and came with the donor so using it for now.

Next jobs: bit more frame fettling to get it bolted front and back and also need to re-do the tank mount at the front as it is fouling the top adjustor on the front beam. Fabricate a batter box mount, seat bases and mounts for lights and indicators. Wiring and conduit has now arrived so should be able to start the wiring in the next couple of weeks.

Nice to see this is still moving forward.
Life is like a pube on a toilet seat, sooner or later you'll get pissed off.
